There are not many teams in the league that have as many question marks as the Denver Broncos and the biggest one is at the QB position.

Is Kyle Orton or Tim Tebow the answer for Denver under center this season? Orton led the Broncos to the 7th ranked passing offense, but he had troubles in the red zone. Tebow showed he may the guy, as last season he was 41/82 for 654 yards with 5 TD.
RB Knowshon Moreno had 779 rushing yards, but he needs to stay healthy and be a 1,000 yard back, especially if Tebow gets the starting nod.
Whoever is the starting QB will have the luxury to pass to Brandon Lloyd, who led the NFL last season in receiving yards and he also had 11 TD. Jabar Gaffney chimed in for 65 catches for 875 yards and 6 TD, so the Denver WR corps is not the big issue. Someone has to step up on offense and be a leader, but is it Tebow time already? We shall see.
The defense for Denver was terrible last season ranking 25th against the pass and 31st against the run. On top of that the Broncos only had a grand total of 23 sacks, which was the lowest total in the league.
Denver used the 2nd pick of the draft to take OLB Von Miller, but while he is ultra talented he cannot do it all. If there is one team that needs to hit the free agent market hard, especially on D, it is the Broncos. The team hopes Miller and 2nd round pick S Rahim Moore can plug some big holes. And by big I mean really big.
It would really help if the Broncos could land a prize free-agent such as DeAngelo Williams or Nnamdi Asomugha, but will they break the bank to do it? On top of all the troubles Denver has on defense S Champ Bailey may be headed out of Mile High City and while he is no spring chicken any longer he is still a great veteran player.
Head coach John Fox simply did not inherit a good team and if they stand pat and do not open up their purse strings for some solid free agents the Broncos may be in for another long season.
The Broncos do not play the toughest schedule this season, but besides playing the Chargers twice in division play they also face Green Bay away, host the New York Jets, and host the Patriots. The beginning of the season is key for the Broncos, as in their first 7 games they only face 2 teams that had winning records last season.
HOW IT STANDS NOW
– 6 wins should not be a major problem, but it depends on how the defense plays and who the hell the QB is. The team is waiting for Moreno to show why he was a first round draft pick and if he can break out and have a 1,000 yard season, the D improves, and any QB plays well the Broncos have a shot in the wide open AFC West.
Fox really has his work cut out for him, but Denver does have some talent on their team.
Still, is it enough to make the post-season?
