St. Louis Rams Preseason Schedule

Aug. 19-23 at Cleveland
Aug. 26-29 at New England
Sept. 2-3 Baltimore

2010 Regular Season Opponents

Sun, Sept. 12 ARIZONA – If the Cards don’t watch it, the Rams could pull an upset in the opening game of the season. All Rams fans will be eager to see how rookie Sam Bradford performs.

Sun, Sept. 19 @ Oakland – Secondary receivers such as Danny Amendola will have to step up in this one for Saint Lou, as Raiders CB Nnamdi Asomugha will blanket Rams top guy Donnie Avery.

Sun, Sept. 26 WASHINGTON – The Redskins are likely just too much of a veteran club to have any trouble with the St. Louis BBQ ribs or the St. Louis football product.

Sun, Oct. 3 SEATTLE – The best thing that could happen for the Rams is their youthful offensive line to steamroll Seahawk defenders and RB Steven Jackson to run right at them. My Sportsbook

Sun, Oct. 10 @ Detroit – Michiganians statewide are hoping the Tigers are still playing baseball on this date. Or maybe they don’t – the Lions could snatch a rare win here.

Sun, Oct. 17 SAN DIEGO – The Chargers’ massive receivers will present a spectrum of match-up problems for CBs Ron Bartell, Jerome Murphy, Kevin Dockery and the like.

Sun, Oct. 24 @ Tampa Bay – The rare times he’s healthy, RB Cadillac Williams can still be a handful, and QB Josh Freeman is a young pivot on the rise. The Rams could win this one but it’ll be tough.

Sun, Oct. 31 CAROLINA – Are we really convinced the Rams have the bodies on defense to inhibit dynamic duo DeAngelo Williams and Jonathan Stewart? Even if WR Steve Smith isn’t 100%, St. Louis will be loading men in the box.

Sun, Nov. 7 BYE – Even the Rams players make obnoxious amounts of money. Surely some of that can buy good shiatsu.

Sun, Nov. 14 @ San Francisco – Maligned Niners pivot Alex Smith seems to be finally turning the corner; Rams top brass and fans pray that Bradford doesn’t take so long to develop.

Sun, Nov. 21 ATLANTA – QB Matt Ryan is a great young one, and veteran LB Mike Peterson gets the Falcons defense frothing. We’ll see how the Rams respond.

Sun, Nov. 28 @ Denver – The one game where St. Louis has a pseudo-excuse to be sucking wind in what ought to be yet another loss.

Sun, Dec. 5 @ Arizona – Just make sure the Cardinals beat you with someone other than Larry Fitzgerald – it’s basically like pitching around Barry Bonds in 2003.

Sun, Dec. 12 @ New Orleans – Sadly, this is not a Mardi Gras party. In fact, the only similarity it will hold is the acute headache, though the cause will be different.

Sun, Dec. 19 KANSAS CITY – If the Rams can pressure Matt Cassel and keep quick, shifty Jamaal Charles in front of them, they can win this game.

Sun, Dec. 26 SAN FRANCISCO – In Frank Gore vs. Jackson, we have two of the steadier runners from the past several seasons squaring off.

Sun, Jan. 2 @ Seattle – The Pacific Northwest damp that settles in on the players’ uniforms sadly might mirror the damp cold felt by Rams supporters during a season where patience is the key.
