The playoffs may be out of reach this season, but it’s not too much of a stretch for the Bengals to make a run at .500, or even 9-7. While there is still a hoodlum element to the team, they seem to be making the right moves. Top draft choice Andre Smith has the potential to be a 10-year starter at tackle

Thanks Burr.

You're right Pitt just has to show up in my opinion to win this division in 09. The only team I can even see mounting a challenge would be the Ravens, but that D isn't any better than last year, and I'm still not 100% sure about Flacco...so we'll see.

But for now my $$ is on the Steelers to win the AFC North...again

The Bengals have a chance to be decent, but there's a lot of IF's... I don't think Baltimore will be that good (yes Flacco is alright, but they have too many questions on offense even though their defense is solid) but Pittsburgh should be the division winner yet again.

Cincinnati could surprise if the defense continues to gel, Coles proves to be an adequate replacement for Housh, and the offensive line can protect Carson. It seems to me that while Carson's been healthy the running game is just an afterthought because he throws it so well. All Benson has to do is get 15-20 carries per game because you know the Bengals want to air it out 30 plus times per game lol (with Palmer, of course)

Cincinnati has done little this off season to try and improve a very poor team. Carson Palmer will be back and healthly and they still have Chad (Ochocinco) Johnson but it will not be enough to avoid another losing season.
