BetUS NCAAF Betting Odds: CENTRAL MICHIGAN -2.5

Here are some of the NCAA college football betting trends as they relate to this matchup:

* WMU has won its last five games SU
* WMU is 2-4-1 ATS in its last seven road games
* WMU has won four of its last five road games SU
* WMU has played four of its last five road games OVER the total
* CMU has won 11 of its last 16 games SU
* CMU has won 12 of its last 14 home games SU

Also…

* WMU is 4-1-1 ATS in the last six meetings
* CMU has won five of the last six meetings SU as the home team

Last year’s game was a barnburner, as CMU won a 34-31 decision at Kalamazoo, in which Dan LeFevour had 235 yards passing and added another 72 oin the ground for the Chips. LeFevour has only nine touchdown passes this year, but he’s gone 31 for 37 in the last two weeks.

His counterpart, Tim Hiller, is having a great year for Western Michigan. Hiller, a junior, has a 23-5 TD-INT ratio, with a 68% completion rate. This guy is really airborne too – he threw it up 63 times in last week’s win over Buffalo. Hiller has a lot of balance at his disposal, as he can deliver the ball to four different receivers with at least 30 catches and 300 yards under their belt, and gets assistance in the backfield by the yeoman efforts of Brandon West (633 yards).

The Broncos are never-say-die as well. They came back from a 21-3 deficit to force things to overtime last week, and Hiller threw four TD’s after the fourth quarter started. “You just keep going, you never stop,” he said.

Of course, WMU can’t afford to go to sleep for three quarters again here, but their overall arsenal may be a bit much for CMU, which has had a difficult time dealing with quality passing attacks.

LeFevour hurt his ankle against Temple, and although he has pronounced himself healthy for this game, it is a concern, as he’s the one who supplies much of the running game for this club. He’s engineered two straight wins for the Chips in this series, but we think the double revenge angle works here.

We’ll take the poimts with WMU, which has won four of its last five road games, and the two-point underdog in the BetUS NCAA college football betting odds.
