The Texas Longhorns will look to remain undefeated heading into the Dec. 5 game against Nebraska, but first they will need to extinguish a Texas A&M team that is coming off a big 38-3 win over Baylor in Week 12, this Thanksgiving Day.

These two teams last met on Nov 27, 2008. The Longhorns pounded the Aggies 49-9.

The Longhorns are coming off a 51-20 win over Kansas last week. Quarterback Colt McCoy threw for 396 yards and four touchdowns, and added 29 yards rushing. He became just the fifth player in FBS history to surpass 14,000 total yards in his career. The Texas defense remains solid, and is anchored by safety Earl Thomas. Thomas has seven interceptions this season –tying a Texas season record.

He also returned a punt 50 yards and was credited with nine tackles in the game against Kansas.

The Aggies were on a mission to become bowl-eligible, bouncing back to beat Baylor in Week 12. A&M rushed for a season-best 375 yards in the win, including the longest carry in A&M history, a 97-yard touchdown burst by freshman Christine Michael. The Aggies dominated the line of scrimmage against Baylor opening big holes for their rushing attack. The Aggies scored touchdowns on three of their first four drives.

Quarterback Jerrod Johnson completed 19 of 25 passes for 153 yards and two interceptions. He also rushed for 83 yards and a touchdown on 16 attempts. He set the A&M season passing record with 2,875 yards. The Aggies were also flagged for nine major penatltiesin the win, including six against the defense.

The Aggies will need to remain disciplined to avoid taking costly penalties and get the same results from their offensive line to move the ball on the ground against the Nations number one ranked rush defense if they hope to avoid a repeat of last years meeting.
