I’ll be targeting the Ole Miss vs. LSU game and West Virginia vs. Oklahoma State. I’ll be on the Rebels and the Mountaineers to both get the job done on the road for our college football week 9 free parlay.

Game #1 – #3 Ole Miss Rebels vs. #24 LSU Tigers

NCAA Football Point Spread: Ole Miss –3.5
NCAA Football Over/Under: OFF
Matchup | Preview

Ole Miss 7-0 (4-0 SEC) is rolling with wins over Alabama, Texas A&M and Tennessee in their last three. I think everyone at this point believes the Rebels are real, but this will still be a tough road test.

The Rebels have road wins over the Aggies and Commodores this season. LSU 6-2 (2-2 SEC) has won two in a row over Florida and Kentucky, but this is a team that isn’t going to beat any T10 opponents.

Mississippi State went into Tiger Stadium and beat LSU this year. Ole Miss has to do the same thing or else they’re going to drop out of the top four. Bo Wallace is going to have to handle the pressure.

Wallace has thrown 17 TD passes and 6 INT’s plus he has 2 TD’s on the ground. Ole Miss is averaging 35.4 PPG (30th), 282.0 PYPG (33rd) and 151.3 RYPG (84th), but LSU still has a strong defense.

The Tigers only allow 17.0 PPG (8th) and 156.3 PYPG (4th), but they can be beat on the ground (162.5 RYPG – 68th). Wallace leads the team in rush attempts, but he has to improve on his 1.8 YPC or stop running.

LSU is a strong running team (220.9 RYPG – 28th) and they average 35.6 PPG (28th). They haven’t been able to pass the football all season (194.4 PYPG – 98th) though and that’ll hurt them in this game.

Ole Miss has a great defense that’s only giving up 193.4 PYPG (20th), 97.0 RYPG (6th) and 10.6 PPG (1st). LSU has put up some points lately, but they won’t be able to move the football on the Rebels.

NCAA Football Picks: Ole Miss covers the point spread at Tigers Stadium.

Game #2 – #22 West Virginia Mountaineers vs. Oklahoma State Cowboys

NCAA Football Point Spread: Oklahoma State -1
NCAA Football Over/Under: OFF
Matchup | Preview

West Virginia 5-2 (3-1 Big 12) and Oklahoma State 5-2 (3-1 Big 12) meet in a huge conference game. OSU was just dominated by TCU (42-9) last week and I think it’ll be tough for them to bounce back.

[dfads params=’groups=66501&limit=1&return_javascript=0′]

The Mountaineers have only lost to Alabama and Oklahoma this season. They just beat Baylor (41-27) and this team is much better than OSU in my opinion. The WVU offense will shred this defense up.

Oklahoma State allows 288.4 PYPG (116th), 132.3 RYPG (37th) and 27.1 PPG (71st). That’s bad news, as the Mountaineers have one of the best passing attacks in the nation and they score a lot of points.

WVU averages 361.7 PYPG (6th), 176.7 RYPG (57th) and 37.3 PPG (25th). Kevin White is having an incredible season. White already has 69 receptions for 1020 receiving yards and 7 receiving TD’s this year.

Clint Trickett is playing good football. He has 15 passing TD’s and just 5 INT’s this season. If Trickett and White come to play this game could get ugly just like the OSU vs. TCU match-up from last weekend.

[dfads params=’groups=63739&limit=1&return_javascript=0′]

The normally explosive OSU offense hasn’t been putting up too many yards this season. They rank 47th in points scored (33.1 PPG), 54th in passing yards (246.6 PYPG) and 86th in rushing yards (150.9 RYPG).

West Virginia allows 27.1 PPG (71st), but they only give up 167.3 RYPG (72nd) and 215.0 PYPG (44th). Those aren’t great numbers by any stretch, but they’re not bad considering OSU isn’t an explosive offense.

I see this game playing out one way. Trickett and White will hook up early and often on a weak secondary that has no chance to stop the WVU pass attack. It’s a tough road game, but WVU will win this one.

NCAA Football Pick: Take the Mountaineers to win on the road against OSU.
