Oklahoma QB Landry Jones has had a solid senior season and it helps that he has a great WR duo in Kenny Stills (54 rec 682 yards 6 TD) and Justin Brown (41 rec 537 yards 4 TD). It is no shock that the Mountaineers have been giving up a ton of points in the last few games, as they have played teams with good passing offenses, which the Sooners have, and they have the nation’s worst pass defense.

OU RB Damien Williams rushed for 99 yards in the Sooners last game and is averaging a solid 6.1 yards per carry on the season. WVU has a weak pass defense, but they have been decent against the run with the nation’s 31st ranked run defense.[soliloquy id=”82219″]

With the terrible pass D that Jones will likely light up WVU Gino Smith, who ranks 3rd in the country in passing yards per game and 2 WR’s that each have around 1,000 receiving yards, will have to have a HUGE game. That may be hard since OU ranks 8th in the nation in pass defense. The Sooners did play good pass D facing Baylor in their last game, but they gave up a ton of rushing yards.

Mountaineers RB Andrew Buie is the lead back, but WVU ranks last in the Big 12 in rushing yards per game. He will be facing an OU run defense that ranks 61st in then nation and struggled in the Baylor game.

In some betting trends for this Big 12 match up Oklahoma is 4-1 ATS in their last 5 Big conference games and they have an Over record of 5-1 in their last 6 games overall.

WVU is 0-4 ATS in their last 4 home games and they have an Over record of 8-3 in their last 11 home games.

Jason’s Pick: Even giving 11 points on the road I have to go with Oklahoma, as Jones will light up the WVU secondary and the Sooners will win and cover.
