Florida State
The Seminoles (5-0) preserved their unblemished record with a 43-3 pounding of Wake Forest at home last weekend.
And although FSU hasn’t resembled their 2013 selves, it has found ways to win games, knocking off top contenders Oklahoma State, Clemson, and North Carolina State so far this season.

Vaunted quarterback Jameis Winston returned to action against Wake Forest after his suspension, and led the Seminoles to a 10-point lead at halftime.
He finished the game with 297 yards with one touchdown and one interception, as Florida State shut out the Demon Deacons in the second half, scoring 30 unanswered points,
Running back Mario Pender chipped in with 70 rushing yards on five carries and a touchdown.
Defensively, Florida State held Wake Forest to just 126 in total yards and forced three turnovers.
Syracuse
The Orange (2-3) dropped to 2-3 on the season after losing to Louisville at home 28-6 on Friday night.

It was Syracuse’s third straight loss, after the starting the season 2-0, and then falling to Maryland and Notre Dame.
Against the Cardinals, the Orange looked awful, managing only 255 total yards and only 59 yards on the ground. That result is one of the reasons why Syracuse has only been averaging only 21.6 points per game, which ranks 107th in the country.
The Orange’s offensive woes are just limited to the rush though; the passing attack has been just as bad, as seen by quarterback Terrel Hunt performance against Louisville, completing just 17-of-32 passes for 196 yards to go along with two interceptions.
Meanwhile, the Orange defense kept them in the game, holding Louisville to only 12 first half points and forcing two turnovers in the loss.
