Kick-off in this one is slated for 3:30 p.m. and the game will be broadcast nationally on ESPN2.

Cincinnati took a step in the right direction after a disappointing 4-8 record in 2010, with a 72-10 thrashing of Div-IAA Austin Peay as a 41-point home favorite in this season’s opener. The game was pretty much over before it began as the Bearcats reeled off 51 straight points before the Governors even got on the board.

Zach Collaros only put the ball up 19 times, but completed 12 passes for 134 yards and four touchdowns. Isaiah Pead ran for 87 of Cincinnati’s 387 yards on the ground. All told, 12 different players carried the ball in this one as the Bearcats chewed up both time and yardage with a relentless ground game.

Tennessee is another team looking to turn things around after posting a 6-7 campaign in 2010. It too got off on a good note with a 42-16 rout of Montana as a 26-point home favorite. [soliloquy id=”82219″]

The total also easily went ‘over’ the 53-point line. The Volunteers wasted little time in putting this game away after opening up a 26-point lead at the half that it maintained until the final gun.

Tyler Bray did most of the damage through the air with 17 completions on 24 attempts for 393 yards and three touchdowns. Wide receivers Justin Hunter and Da’Rick Rogers combined for 11 receptions for 246 yards and two scores.

Tennessee only ran for 128 yards against the Grizzlies, with Tauren Poole accounting for 98 yards on 24 carries.

Both these teams will be put to the test in this one as Cincinnati’s defense will have to find a way to get some pressure on Bray, while the Volunteers’ front seven will have its hands full stopping a powerful Bearcat ground game.

The slight edge here goes to Tennessee, which is now 5-1 straight-up in its last six games and 5-1-1 against the spread in its last seven.
