Toledo
The Rockets had a real shot to make a statement last week with Missouri visiting. Unfortunately for them, as predicted, they couldn’t quite matchup with the Tigers but they might have an easier time against Cincinnati. Toledo has talent on the offensive side of the ball but like last week they won’t be able to survive mistakes.

They will probably need to take some chances on defense which is probably the right strategy anyway given their opponent and it slack of experience at QB.
The Rockets own QB, Philip Ely, has shown pretty well through a couple of games. He seems to have all the tools and enough weapons to have success. The Bearcats are generally one of the top defensive programs so this could be his stiffest test this season. If the Rockets are going to win he is going to have to have a really strong game on Friday night with the world watching.
Cincinnati
The big news of today is that QB Gunner Kiel has been named the starter for the opener. There is a lot of intrigue about him because he has moved around a lot for someone so highly touted.

This will be his first real action and only time will tell if he is ready for it. The Rockets offer fair competition.
They are not very strong on defense but they should be able to move the ball on one offense meaning he will have to be effective.
This is the Bearcats first game while Toledo already has two under heir belt. It will be interesting to see if this is an advantage or disadvantage.
It was Under former coach Butch Jones but two years ago this team visited the Glass Bowl and was dealt a 6 Point loss as the favourite.

That was mid season but there is danger of them putting up a flat performance in this one too.

I would love to see this number come down a little but just because we haven’t seen the Bearcats live yet this season. I am hoping the market thinks they are ripe for the upset affecting the price.
