Auburn

Given how Arkansas demolished Texas Tech last week the Tigers hum drum beating of the Razorbacks looks all the more impressive right now.

The Tigers seemed to pick up right where they left off last season in terms of being able to dominate in the running game and they will not deviate from this plan this week, not with them having such a strong physical advantage in the trenches.

This is not a great Auburn team but there strengths will be on full display this week.

It might seem redundant but the only way the Tigers lose this one is they can’t run the ball (unlikely) or beat themselves through turnovers and penalties (possible).

They are going to dominate up front and it might make the stomach of Wildcats fans turn to see them get abused like that.

Once Malzahn has something going he is not shy about repeating the action, incessantly.

Kansas State

K-State is currently sitting atop the B12 standings at 1-0 (only one other team has played a conference game thus far). That lone conference victory came against Iowa State, which looks a lot better following the Cyclones victory over Iowa last weekend.

The teams at the top of the conference look a lot better than KSU does right now but doubting the Wildcats is never a strong strategy.

This group will be well prepared for this one but they just might not have enough stuff this season.

Through a couple of games QB Jake Waters has been much more of a dual threat than a year ago.

He is averaging almost 100 yards on the ground per game which is a nice development but so far he has not shown much development as a passer.

The good news is that his elusivity will probably be very handy this week. Instead of taking off though he is going to have to stay in the pocket to make some connections with Tyler Lockett.

NCAA Football Week 4 Prediction: 4* Play on Auburn -8.5

Decent value here as long as the number stay below double digits. Auburn should roll and you will know in the first quarter how this one is going to play out.

NCAAF Score prediction: Auburn 38 – Kansas State 21

Could look a lot like Arkansas vs. Texas Tech.
