Texas

The Longhorns (2-3) are off to poor start due in large part to an anemic offense that has been held to 17 or less points in three of their first five games.

The passing game is an area that is need of a major overhaul, as quarterback Tyrone Swoopes is completing just 59.4 percent of his passes for five touchdowns to three interceptions.

In his last outing, Swoopes threw two picks and zero touchdowns, and if not for the rushing efforts of Johnathan Gray and Malcolm Brown, who have combined for more than 500 rushing yards and three scores, the Longhorns could easily be 0-5.

Defensively, Texas has been staunch, allowing 19.2 points, 334.4 yards, and has forced 11 turnovers while collecting 19 sacks.

Oklahoma

The Sooners (4-1) unbeaten streak ended on Saturday with their first loss of the season to Texas Christian.

Once again the play of quarterback Trevor Knight was a concern against the Horned Frogs. Knight has is completing just 54.5 percent of his passes, but has now thrown at least one interception in four of the first five games.

In the meantime, freshman Samaje Perine, has been providing most of Oklahoma’s offensive punch, racking up seven touchdowns in his last two games.

Week 7 NCAA Football Spread Prediction

Backing the Longhorns with the way they’ve been playing is a lost wager.

However, this is one of the bigger rivalries in college football and both teams will be up to the test.

And while the Sooner will probably win this one SU, I’ll go ahead and take Texas and the two plus touchdowns.

4* NCAAF Free Score Prediction: Oklahoma 28, Texas 20
