The score could have been higher if not for a few dropped balls, but it wasn’t necessary as quarterback Kenny Hill exploded for 300 yards and four touchdowns, while completing 20-of-31 passes.

His favorite target Malcome Kennedy hauled in seven of those throws to lead the T&M receiving unit with 88 yards while Josh Reynolds and Speedy Noil combined for three TD’s.

The passing attack was assisted by a formidable running game that saw Tra Carson and Brandon Williams combine for 110 yards.

It was bad enough that head coach June Jones resigned, leaving a big mess for Tom Mason who will move from bring the team’s defensive coordinator, right into the hot seat.

Mason’s first task will be to find out where the offensive has gone, leaving SMU in dead last in the FBS with just 171 offensive yards per game.

The rushing attack has -8 yards and the team has is putting up just three PPG.

Defensively SMU ranks 105th and has allowed 463 yards per game and given up 44 PPG on average.
