The Oregon Ducks, however are coming off a 51-27 win over the then-ranked No. 17 Utah Utes.

Colorado

Colorado is the only team in this conference that is winless against Pac-12 opponents. The team is 0-7 against conference opponents, and it is just 2-8 on the year.

So far this season, the Buffaloes are averaging 29.8 points per game, and they’re doing it with the passing game. The team is 68th in rushing yards accumulated per game (161.8), but it’s an elite 17th in passing yards, grabbing 299.3 yards per contest through the air.

Luckily for Colorado, the Oregon Ducks are just 123rd in passing yards allowed this season.

The Buffaloes are a (very, very, very) long shot to pull off a win straight up, but if they use their strengths on offense, they’ll attack a weak secondary and have a chance of pulling off an upset against the spread.

Oregon

The Ducks would need to lay a complete egg in order to lose this game. That said, this is surprisingly a decent ATS upset in the making because of  an injury to Ifo Ekpre-Olomu and an underachieving secondary.

Offensively, this team won’t have to worry. The Ducks are averaging 46 points per game — the third-best mark in the nation — and they’re doing it with a balanced attack.

The team is 18th in terms of passing yards, grabbing 299.1 yards per game, while the team is 23rd in rushing yards accumulated, posting 232.1 yards per contest.

Colorado is allowing 38.6 yards per game, which is the 120th-best mark in the nation, which is good news for fans in Eugeue, Ore. — not Boulder, Colo.

NCAA Football Handicapping Trends:

  • Buffaloes are 18-38 ATS in their last 56 road games
  • Buffaloes are 7-3 ATS in their last 10 Conference Games
  • Buffaloes are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games after allowing more than 450 total yards in their previous game
  • Ducks are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games after scoring more than 40 points in their previous game
  • Ducks are 5-0 ATS in their last 5 conference games

Week 13 NCAA Football

This one belongs to the Ducks, and only an injury to Heisman Trophy candidate Marcus Mariota (cross young fingers, Ducks fans) will ruin that.

The problem is, this is a very high point spread. Oregon is at home, and the game will likely be decided by half time. But will Oregon be able to shut down the Buffaloes passing attack when the starters come out?

If the Buffaloes were as (bad) subpar as they are without a passing game, a 34-point spread in Oregon’s favor would be reasonable.

Unfortunately for the Ducks, they give up a whole slew of passing yards each week, and that should keep Colorado within the spread — even if they get blown out straight up.
