Their latest comeback saw QB Jameis Winston lead his offense down the field to beat rival Miami with just three minutes left.

Boston College

For the second straight season, Boston College will find themselves in a post season bowl game. With the bye week to prepare for the #3 team in the country, Boston College will look to play spoiler and put an end to Florida State’s 26 game winning streak.

The key thus far to the Eagles season has been the way they’ve responded to a loss. Boston College has avoided losing back to back games this season and will need an upset win at Florida State to continue that trend. Last time out, Louisville staged a second half comeback en route to a 38-19 win over Boston College.

Containing Winston isn’t the only thing the Eagles have to worry about. Freshman RB Dalvin Cook used his impressive breakaway speed last week to score two touchdowns against the Hurricanes. Cook is replacing starting RB Karlos Williams, who is being investigated for domestic battery.

Boston College has played well on the road this season going 4-0 and 3-1 ATS. They’re averaging 29.0 points per game and allowing just 17.2.

Florida State

No matter how you try to spin it, winning 26 games in a row is no accident. While voters and the media seem to continuously bash the Seminoles and look for any way to get them out of the playoff, Florida State continues to go out and find ways to win. The Seminoles have nearly been upset three times in their last four games, but late game heroics by Winston has kept Florida State unbeaten in their 2014 campaign.

Miami found a way to slow down the Seminole offense last week in the first half by bringing numerous different blitz packages and forcing Winston into some difficult throws. Florida State should expect the same this week against a good Boston College defense, who allows just 21.9 points per game (34th).

With just a 1-4 ATS record at home, the Seminoles are still 5-0 S.U. The Seminoles are one of the best passing offenses in the NCAA with 318.3 yards per game (11th). Look for Winston to find standout WR Rashad Greene, who is leading the ACC in both receptions and yards.

Greene has found the end zone five times this season.

NCAA Football Handicapping Trends:

  • Eagles are 9-1 ATS in their last 10 games following a ATS loss.
  • Eagles are 5-11 ATS in their last 16 road games.
  • Seminoles are 7-3 ATS vs. a team with a winning record.
  • Over is 7-0 in Eagles last 7 games in November.

Week 13 NCAA Football

Boston College jumped out to a 17-3 lead last season against Florida State and will need to do something similar to that Saturday if they want any chance here. Based on Florida State’s recent couple games, don’t be surprised if Boston College keeps this game close. However, when its all said and done, Winston and his Seminoles will run their win streak to 27.

Free 4* NCAA Football Pick: Over 56.5

This game has the feel that it could be similar to last seasons 48-34 game.

Florida State 45, Boston College 24

Look for Florida State to be better prepared for the blitzes this week and find some deep balls over the top for their receivers.
