Boise State has never lost to the Cowboys in the history of their existence.

Boise State

The Broncos will bring their five-game win streak and unique high-powered offense to play on Saturday. They are 10th in the nation in total offense averaging 510.5 yards per game.

Running back Jay Ajayi is coming off a 134-yard performance in BSUs most recent win over San Diego State. He has been putting up hefty numbers all year totaling 1,280 rushing yards with an impressive 17 touchdowns. Boise State is averaging 37.7 points per game, but also allowing an average of 29.8 points per game on defense.

Offensively there haven’t been very many problems for the Bronco’s this year, but defending the pass has been a bit of an issue.

The secondary is allowing 228.7 yards per game through the air along with a struggling front 7 giving up an average of 249 yards per game on the ground away from Bronco Stadium.

With an undersized front 7 (116th in the country) and a weak secondary, Boise State could possibly allow a substantial amount of points on the road but with a MWC championship in sight they will be firing on all cylinders on offense.

Quarterback Grant Hedrick has had a disappointing year thus far with 13 interceptions, but he has racked up almost 3,000 passing yards already.

Wyoming

Coming into their final home game of the season, the Cowboys will look to get their offense going in front of the home crowd. In last weeks game they received a 100+ yard game out of freshman running back Brian Hill, but fell to Utah State 20-3.

The inexperienced offense of Wyoming has been a problem all year generating only 20.9 points per game ranking 110th in the nation. Wyoming has dropped five of their last six and has struggled to put points on the board, only a single field goal last week.

Despite their 4-6 record, head coach Craig Bohl has his team playing tough. He will have his team focused and upset minded. They have been struggling as of late, but earlier this year they knocked off an 8-2 Air Force team who beat Boise State in week 4.

The Cowboys want to remain bowl eligible and will give the Broncos everything they got.

I will expect them to put up some points and keep it closer than the experts believe.

NCAA Football Handicapping Trends:

  • Boise State is 2-4 ATS in its last six games.
  • Boise State has gone OVER in its last five games.
  • Wyoming is 5-13 ATS in its last 18 games.
  • Wyoming is 1-8 ATS in its last nine home games.

Week 13 NCAA Football

I expect Wyoming to come out tough at home and play up to their competition. They are not only playing to remain bowl eligible, but with a first year head coach some of the young players are playing for spots next year. Boise State could possibly be looking past this game and onto their last game of the year against Utah State.

At the end of the day you have to expect Boise State to leave with the win, but I’m not sure if taking them ATS is the best move.

Free NCAA Betting Pick 4*: Over 56

With Boise State’s high powered offense and weak defense there is going to be a lot points on the board.

Final Score: Boise State 49 — Wyoming 31

Wyoming will score some points early and Boise State will keep up with them and pull away in the end.
