Arkansas

The Razorbacks (1-1) rebounded from their week one loss to Auburn, by blowing out Nicholls State 73-7 last weekend.

The win inflated Arkansas stats, making them look much better on paper than they really are. Still, the hogs are fueled by a solid rushing attack, led by Alex Collins, who is turning out to be one of the better running backs in the SEC with 199 rushing yards. His counterpart, Jonathan Williams has also chipped in with 177 yards and a pair of TDs.

Meanwhile, the passing game is being piloted by quarterback Brandon Allen who has completed 61.1 percent of his passes for 292 yards and six touchdowns.

On the defensive side of the ball, the Razorbacks are struggling, allowing 418.5 yards and nearly six yards per play.

Texas Tech

The Red Raiders (2-0) are off to a good start this season and looked primed to take on Arkansas after a pair of impressive wins over Central Arkansas and UTEP, where they are averaging 570 yards of offense and 7.7 yards per play.

Quarterback Davis Webb leads the nation’s ninth-best passing offense, completing 67.5 percent of his passes for 730 yards and seven touchdowns.

But this Texas Tech team is not one-dimensional; it boasts a solid rushing attack that is averaging 6.4 yards per carry, led by Justin Stockton’s 174 rushing yards and two touchdowns.

Defensively, is where this Tech unit is having difficulties, allowing 399.5 yards. They have yet to force a turnover. And have only two sacks on the season.
