This will be a tough spot for the Wildcats, as the Bulldogs are going to be extremely motivated.

The Bulldogs just beat Texas A&M (48-31) and Auburn (38-23) the last two weeks. The schedule eases up until the match-up with Bama in the middle of November, but don’t expect the Bulldogs to let up.

These next three games are a great time to continue building momentum and confidence. This is one of the most complete teams in the nation. They score 41.8 PPG (9th) and allow 20.0 PPG (19th).

Dak Prescott has been great all season. He has thrown for 1478 yards, 14 TD’s and 4 INT’s. He has rushed for 576 yards and 8 TD’s as well. He can beat defenses through the air or with his feet consistently.

As a team the Bulldogs average 265.3 PYPG (41st) and 264.3 RYPG (13th). Josh Robinson gets overlooked in this offense, but he has 8 rushing TD’s and he leads the team with 689 rushing yards.

Kentucky has a signature win over a struggling South Carolina team, but they also lost to the Gators and were dominated by a weak LSU team by their standards. This team is average at best.

On paper the Wildcats average 247.4 PYPG (53rd), 168.0 RYPG (62nd) and 31.7 PPG (55th). Patrick Towles has had a good year, but he has scrambled out of the pocket too much and has been ineffective.

Towles has to step up this week because the Bulldogs defense is beat through the air. This team allows 308.3 PYPG (121st), which is terrible considering that this team is ranked #1 in the country.

The Kentucky RB committee will struggle against Mississippi State’s run defense (120.5 RYPG – 24th). I just don’t think Towles will be able to beat this team. He’ll make costly mistakes when it counts.

4* Free NCAAF Pick: Mississippi State Bulldogs vs. Kentucky Wildcats

Mississippi State is 5-0 in the H2H series the last five years and 4-1 ATS in that span. I know some people expect this game to be a letdown spot after beating two ranked opponents, but I don’t see that.

Mississippi State Bulldogs –13.5 (-110)

Prescott and Robinson should find plenty of running room. Kentucky allows 173.6 RYPG (77th). They rank 15th against the pass (181.3 PYPG), but they haven’t played any explosive passing teams yet.

It’ll be interesting to see how this Kentucky holds up against an offense like the Bulldogs. This is by far the best offense they have played this season and I expect the wheels to fall off for Kentucky in this one.
