The West Virginia Mountaineers will be looking to add a quality win for their postseason resume when they tangle with the Villanova Wildcats this Saturday afternoon in this Big East clash. Tip-off from The Pavilion is set for 12 p.m. (ET) and the game will be broadcast on ESPN.

West Virginia is coming off a solid 56-44 win over Seton Hall this past Wednesday night as an 8 ½-point home favorite which followed a 66-55 victory over Cincinnati as a 4 ½-point road underdog last Saturday. The Mountaineers are now 15-6 straight-up (9-9 against the spread) overall and are 6-3 SU in the Big East.

Casey Mitchell leads the team in scoring with an average of 16.6 points per game but has been suspended indefinitely for violating team rules. Kevin Jones leads in rebounds with 6.9 and is the second leading scorer with 13.2 points a game. West Virginia is averaging 73 points a game and is ranked 31st in the nation in rebounds with an average of 39.

Villanova snapped a two-game losing streak with a 75-70 win over Marquette as a six-point home favorite on Wednesday night. This victory raised the Wildcats record to 18-4 SU but dropped them to 10-8-1 ATS. They are currently tied for second-place in the conference at 6-3 SU.

Corey Fisher and Corey Stokes continue to lead the way for Villanova. Fisher is averaging 15.6 points and five assists a game, while Stokes is averaging 15.2 points and 3.6 rebounds. The Wildcats are shooting 44.5 percent from the field and averaging 76 points a game. They are also a solid rebounding team with 39 boards a game.

West Virginia remains one of the best mid-tier teams in the Big East and is more than capable of winning this game, but without Mitchell in the lineup it will be hard pressed to hang in there against the Wildcats.
