The Marquette Golden Eagles will be looking to boost their tournament resume with a quality win over the Connecticut Huskies in this Thursday night Big East clash. Game time from the XL Center is set for 7 p.m. (ET) and it will be broadcast nationally on ESPN2.

Marquette snapped a two-game losing streak with a 73-64 victory over Seton Hall as a 7 ½-point home favorite last Saturday. The Golden Eagles are currently 16-7 straight-up and 12-7 against the spread. They find themselves in the middle of the pack in the Big East standings at 7-7 SU.

Darius Johnson-Odom and Jimmy Butler are providing the bulk of the offensive production for Marquette as each is averaging around 16 points a game. Jae Crowder leads the team in rebounds with 6.8 a game and is third in scoring with 13 points. The Golden Eagles are shooting 48.1 percent from the field and averaging 77 points a game.

Connecticut is coming off a 71-58 loss to No.16 Louisville last Friday night as a 3 ½-point road underdog which was its fourth loss in the last seven games. The Huskies are 20-6 SU overall (12-8 ATS) and are also stuck in the middle of the conference at 8-6 SU.

Kemba Walker continues to lead the team in scoring with an average of 22.9 points a game. He also leads the team in assists with 4.6 and is averaging 5.3 rebounds a game. UConn is ranked ninth in the nation in rebounds with 40.5 and averaging 74 points a game. They are shooting 43 percent from the field and 34 percent from three-point range.

Connecticut is 1-2 both SU and ATS in its last three home games against the Golden Eagles and struggling with consistency over the past few weeks. This presents a golden opportunity for Marquette to possibly steal a game on the road, but at the very least cover the spread.

Trends:
MARQ are 6-2 ATS in their last 8 Thu. games.
Over is 6-2 in MARQ last 8 Thu. games.
MARQ are 12-5-1 ATS in their last 18 road games.
UCONN are 4-12 ATS in their last 16 Thu. games.
Under is 9-3 in UCONN last 12 overall.
Under is 8-3 in UCONN last 11 vs. Big East.

The Pick: Marquette +5 ½
