The Cincinnati Bearcats will get their shot at taking down the top team in the Big East this Saturday when they take on the Pittsburgh Panthers at the Petersen Events Center. The game is scheduled to tip at 6 p.m. (ET) and it will be broadcast on ESPNU.

Cincinnati has lost three of its last five games including a 66-55 loss to West Virginia as a 4 ½-point home favorite last Saturday. The Bearcats remain a bubble team in the conference with an overall record of 18-4 straight-up (9-8 against the spread) and 5-4 SU in the Big East.

Dion Dixon and Yancy Gates are responsible for a good chunk of the offensive production for Cincinnati. Dixon leads the team in scoring with an average of 12 points a game, while Gates is the second leading scorer with 11.4 points and leads in rebounds with 6.9 a game. The Bearcats are averaging 70 points and 36 rebounds a game.

Pittsburgh bounced back from a 56-51 loss to No.8 Notre Dame on Jan.24 as a 10 ½-point home favorite with a 65-62 victory over Rutgers as a 10-point road favorite last Saturday. The Panthers are currently 20-2 SU and 8-9 ATS. They have a two game lead in the Big East with a record of 8-1 SU.

Ashton Gibbs leads the team with 15.9 points per game and is joined by Brad Wanamaker, who is averaging 12.5 points and a team-high 5.3 assists, and Gilbert Brown, who is averaging 11.5 points to form one of the best trio of players in the nation. The Panthers are averaging 78 points a game and are second in the nation in rebounds with 42 a game.

Cincinnati has been inconsistent as of late so it is hard to know what to expect from this team in this game. Pitt, on the other hand, has established itself as the most complete team in the conference and should have little problem covering the spread in this matchup.

Gambling Trends:
