Colorado Buffaloes vs. Arizona Wildcats Preview

However, the winner of this game will be sure to go dancing come Selection Sunday. The Buffaloes have scored 2 upsets in a row in the tournament and they played great defense last night in beating Cal. In the 2 match ups this season between Colorado and Arizona each won on their home floor.

In the conference semis Arizona beat Oregon State 72-61 and Colorado beat Cal 70-59.

This season Colorado is 15-14 ATS with an O/U record of 11-18 and Arizona is 18-14 ATS with an O/U record of 15-17.

In their big upset over Cal, where they were 17-point underdogs, the Buffaloes shot 50% from the floor, held Cal to 42.9 shooting, and forced the Golden Bears into 17 turnovers.

4 out of the 5 starters for Colorado scored in double figures in the Cal win led by F Andre Roberson and G Carlon Brown, who each scored 17 points. These guys are the 2 leading scorers for the Buffaloes and will need to play well tonight. However, their D may be more important since Colorado is not a high scoring team ranking 176th in the nation in scoring. Arizona has a more well-balanced team and if their defense can shut these guys down they should win this game. [soliloquy id=”82219″]

After trailing by 7 points at halftime Arizona blitzed Oregon State in the 2nd half 45-27 to win by 11. Kyle Fogg was the high scorer in the game going for 22 points and he hit on 3 of his 5 3-pointers.

Colorado will have to play good perimeter D not allowing Fogg and the Wildcats, who were 9/18 from 3-pt last in the Oregon State game, to bomb away from deep and they also have to man up on the F duo of Solomon Hill and Jesse Perry who combined to score 28 points on 10/17 shooting in the semifinals win.

Arizona played great D in the win over Oregon State holding the Beavers to 37.7% shooting and clamped down on OSU star Jared Cunningham, who was only 5/14 from the field.

In some betting trends for the Pac 12 finals match up Colorado is 4-6 ATS in their last 10 games, 2-0 ATS in the Pac 12 tourney, and they have an Under record of 7-3 in their last 10 games.

Arizona is 6-4 ATS in their last 10 games, 2-0 ATS in the Pac 12 tourney, and they have an Under record of 3-1 in their last 4 games.

Jason’s Pick: The Buffaloes are playing great, but I think this is Arizona’s game to take, as they have a better offense and more scoring options. Take the Wildcats to win this game and cover the spread.
