San Diego State Aztecs vs. Cincinnati Bearcats Preview

On the season SDSU is4-3-1 ATS and they have an O/U record of 2-4 and Cincinnati is 2-3 ATS and they have an Under record of 0-1.

This season Cincinnati is 5-0 at home and SDSU is 0-1 on the road.

In their last games SDSU beat Long Beach State 60-59 and Cincinnati lost to Nebraska 56-55 in 2OT.

Cincy is coming off a road loss and while they are an 8-point underdog to 19th ranked SDSU they have not lost at home to non-conference opponent in nearly 2 years.

These are 2 of the best defensive teams in the nation and each needs to win with their D, as they have a less than explosive offense. Cincy ranks 295th in the nation in points per game and SDSU ranks 278th.

Cincy has won 25 of their last 26 home games and the Aztecs lost their only game on the road facing a Washington squad that is now in the top 25.

To say SDSU was cold in the Washington game would be an understatement, as they shot 20.4% from the floor and missed 13 of their 15 3-pointers.

Cincy has only played 2 teams from major conferences and they lost both games. This will be their first game of the season facing a ranked opponent.

I mentioned that neither team has a great offense and the Bearcats do not have 1 player averaging in double figures. Troy Caupain and Octavius Ellis are the leading scorers and they have to figure out a way to score facing a SDSU defense that is holding opponents to an average of 55 ppg on 36% shooting.

For SDSU Winston Shepard (10.2 ppg) and Dwayne Polee II (10 ppg), who is coming off a season high 16 points in the win over Long Beach State, are the 2 leading scorers.

SDSU has a very tall and athletic team and on offense Cincy will have to be smart and hold onto the rock, which they did not do in the Nebraska game when they committed 18 turnovers.

SDSU has played 3 teams already that are currently in the top 25 and for the rest pf the season they do not face a team that is ranked as of today.

4*Cappers NCAAB Free Pick

SDSU may be THE best defensive team in the nation and while Cincy also has a good D the Aztecs will find a way to score and even on the road they will win and cover.
