Winning on the road is never easy in conference.
Xavier
This is probably not going to be a vintage Xavier season but they are in the middle of the Big East right now and if things break right they can be in the discussion of who makes it to the Big Dance from the conference.

After back to back losses they got back in the win column with a victory over a pretty good Providence team. At this stage of the season the last thing they can afford is to lose a game they are supposed to win and this one would qualify.
It doesn’t have to be pretty they just have to get it done.
The Musketeers don’t have much star power this season.

The closest thing they have would be C Matt Stainbrook but he is far from a polished product and is probably for the game. PG Dee Davis is a steady hand in terms of distributing the rock but he is having a terrible year shooting it.
Xavier goes about 9 players deep this year and that is advantage against most of the teams they play.
Marquette
Things are a little off for Marquette right now. Coach Buzz Williams left in the offseason and even though they probably made the right hire with Steve Wojciechowski, it looks like he is not going to have the midas touch right away.
The going has been tough and the Eagles currently find themselves near the bottom of the league. Unlike the Musketeers Marquette is really struggling with depth this season.
They only have 8 players on their roster.
That makes it very tough to compete every night.
The leading scorer is guard Matt Carlino, who is with his third program and questionable to play because of a head injury.
He is far from having a great season and with him out the Eagles will be forced to look elsewhere for points, possibly to Juan Anderson, their leading rebounder and most efficient scorer.

Center Luke Fischer will likely have his hands full with Stainbrook but his game has advance in his second season.
