In their last games Louisville beat South Florida 64-38 and UCONN beat Notre Dame 68-58.

On the season Louisville is 9-7 ATS with an Over/Under record of 6-4 and UCONN is 5-6 ATS with an Over/Under record of 4-5.

The Cardinals are 3-0 in Big East play and they have not opened conference play 4-0 in 4 years. They are coming off a great defensive win over South Florida and they have won 2 straight against the Huskies in Connecticut.

Louisville has one lain concern on D in this game and that is to contain the UCONN G duo of Shabazz Napier and Ryan Boatright, who combined for 33 points in the Huskies last game. They have to play good perimeter defense and if they do that they may be in good shape.

The Cardinals are solid team on the boards and that has to be a concern since the Huskies only rank 277th in the nation in rebounds per game. [ad-6571516]

UCONN has not lost at home this season (8-0) and in their house they are beating opponents by an average of other 15 ppg.

The Cardinals have been winning even though star G Russ Smith, who ranks 3rd in the Big East in scoring, has struggled in the last couple of games.

The Huskies are a solid team on defense, but they do not have a great frontcourt. 6’11” Gorgui Dieng is averaging nearly 10 ppg and 10 rpg and the Huskies have to keep him out of the paint and especially have to keep him from dominating the glass.

In some betting trends for this Big East match up Louisville is 18-7 ATS in their last 25 games, 9-2 ATS in their last 11 road games, and they have an Under record of 7-3 in their last 10 road games.

UCONN is 6-1 ATS in their last 7 vs. Big East, 7-2 ATS in their last 9 home games vs. a team with a winning road record, and they have an Over record of 4-1 in their last 5 home games vs. a team with a winning road record.

Jason’s Pick: Louisville is 4-0-1 ATS in the last 5 meetings against the Huskies in Connecticut, but that trend will not continue tonight. At home the Huskies will play well and while they may not win they will cover the 7-point spread.
