You have to have a short memory with this stuff but I feel good seeing as I saw the Wizards game one victory coming. It is hard to pinpoint what has changed other than experience but this Washington proved throughout the season and through one playoff game that the know how to win on the road. [ad-4468020]

Especially impressive in G1 was the way they came back to win.
Though I saw the victory I am humbled by the fact that I did not see the duo of Nene and Andre Miller as the keys.

Both have loads of experience and really it was Nene who set the tone for the Wizards, leading all scorers with 24 points – don’t be fooled by his fouling out, it occurred after the game was decided. As for Miller, he contributed 19 points off the bench with his usual savvy moves.
If he can keep scoring just a little he really lengthens their bench.
This is a spread I just don’t get other than oddsmakers are trying to predict the NBA criss-cross factor. The Wizards were +4.5 in G1, win on the road and suddenly they are +5. There is no logic there except for trying to push the market a little bit.

Given they are mostly a young team there is no reason to expect much fatigue for Washington.
Chicago
So much for being the team nobody wants to play, right? The Chicago Bulls showed a lot of the reasons there was doubt about them all season long and especially coming into these playoffs.
Essentially without a dominating scorer, who can put the ball in the basket when you need it how are they going to compete on days when their defense isn’t absolutely stifling.
The Bulls were right on their seasonal average with 93 points in the opener, thanks to 7 players scoring in double figures for the game. Guard D.J. Augustin tied for the team lead with 16 points but he was a terrible 3 for 15, though he did make all 10 of his free throws.
They usually make a higher percentage from the three point line so if they can connect on a couple more shots that could be the difference.
All season long the Bulls have been a hard team to like as a favorite.
Coming off a loss I don’t like them any more so even though I do think they will play better in G2. I am a little surprised about this number and will be watching it closely to see how it moves.
If they lose this one they will be a must play for G3.
