November 24th NBA Weekly Review and Rankings

With another week of NBA basketball now a thing of the past – and the 2008-09 NBA regular season moving into its fourth week in the BetUS Sportsbook – it is time to take a look back at the week that was.

BetUS NBA sports betting buffs can get a jump on all of the NBA wagering action surrounding each NBA team, heading into what promises to be another thrilling week of NBA basketball sports wagering action in the BetUS Sportsbook.

Eastern Conference

1. Boston Celtics
The Celtics (13-2 SU, 8-7 ATS) have won five straight games and are clearly the cream of the crop in the Eastern Conference. Boston has recorded three ATS wins in its last fine games.

2. Cleveland Cavaliers
The Cavs have gotten off to a surprisingly strong start and have looked like the second-best team in the East since the start of the regular season. Cleveland has four ATS wins in its last fie games.

3. Detroit Pistons
Two road losses at Boston and Phoenix lead me to believe the Pistons are going to need more time to adjust to their acquisition of Allen Iverson.

4. Orlando Magic
A convincing loss at Huston ended the Magic’s 2-1 week on a sour note. Orlando has gone just 2-3 ATS in its last five games.

5. Atlanta Hawks
Atlanta’s 2-2 record was unimpressive as they were routed at Cleveland and managed to beat the lowly Bobcats and inconsistent Pacers. The Hawks are 0-5 ATS in their last five games.

6. Miami Heat
Miami went 2-1 last week and has gone 3-2 ATS in its last five.

7. Philadelphia 76ers
A road loss at Minnesota ruined Philly’s modest 2-1 week. The Sixers have recorded a 3-2 ATS record over their last five.

The Rest:

8. New York Knicks
9. New Jersey Nets
10. Toronto Raptors
11. Chicago Bulls
12. Milwaukee Bucks
13. Indiana Pacers
14. Washington Wizards
15. Charlotte Bobcats

Western Conference

1. Los Angeles Lakers
The Lakers handed ‘smackdowns’ to Chicago, Phoenix and Denver last week without breaking much of a sweat and has covered the spread in three of five overall for BetUS NBA Sportsbook bettors.

2. Denver Nuggets
The Nuggets went 3-1 with just a road loss to the Lakers spotting their record. Still, Denver has just two ATS covers in their last five games despite the fact that I think they are going to be a force to be reckoned with from here on in.

3. Houston Rockets
Three wins over mediocre ballclubs and a disturbing road loss at Dallas don’t highlight their past week, but a 4-1 ATS record in their last five does!

4. Utah Jazz
Two solid home wins and another on the road, take the hurts off their 119-94 road loss at San Antonio. Three ATS wins in their last five tell me they could get hot soon as they appear to be getting healthy right now.

5. New Orleans Hornets
The Hornets have been sluggish to start the season and two wins over the Oklahoma City Thunder don’t make up for a road loss at Sacramento on Wednesday.

6. Dallas Mavericks
The Mavs’ convincing home win over Houston was nearly as impressive as their 4-1 ATS mark in their last five.

7. Phoenix Suns
A solid home win over Phoenix couldn’t take the sting off of two losses at Utah and at home against the Lakers.

8. Portland Trailblazers
A 2-2 record in a four-game week isn’t too bad when three of the contests are on the road.

The Rest

9. San Antonio Spurs
10. Golden State Warriors
11. Sacramento Kings
12. Memphis Grizzlies
13. Minnesota Timberwolves
14. Los Angeles Clippers
15. Oklahoma City Thunder
