NBA: SYSTEM AGAINST SPURS

The majority of members (72%) are backing San Antonio as nine-point favorites over Golden State tonight, but a betting system goes against the Spurs.

This game begins at 8:30 pm ET. Click here for all NBA spreads tonight at Sportsbook.com.

Normally reliable San Antonio suffered a home loss to Houston on Sunday, which reduced their lead over Houston and New Orleans to just one game in the loss column in the Southwest.

It also gives the Spurs four losses in six games, jeopardizing their position in the Western Conference playoff picture. Tonight they’ll take on Golden State but a certain system says to go the other way.  Read on.

San Antonio’s woes can be traced to injuries, causing a lack of offense. Manu Ginobili being out of the lineup is a serious void to fill in the scoring column and Tim Duncan’s balky knee doesn’t appear to be getting any better. The Spurs have fallen to 12th in the West in points scored at 96.6 per game, after scoring just 85 versus Houston.

Golden State is one of the worst road teams in the NBA. They are 6-29 straight-up and a league worst 12-22-1 ATS. The Warriors have no issues scoring, averaging 108.6 PPG, but they allow 112.1.

The Warriors have lost five in a row on the road and 16 of 18 (5-12-1 ATS) and enter a place of haunting. Golden State has lost 21 games in a row at San Antonio, last winning in 1997.

Despite all this, an NBA betting system backs the Warriors. Namely:

Play Against favorites of nine or more points, who are an average offensive team (92-98 PPG) against a horrible defensive team (102 or more PPG), after a game where both teams scored 90 points or less.

The logic behind this system is the ordinary offensive team will probably score points against a bad defensive club. The lousy defensive team will be focused more on offense and will look to deliver better results on the offensive end, making it a potentially more competitive contest.

This system is 25-6 ATS or 80.6% since 1996, with the average differential of 6.8 points per game.

We’ll see if it holds again tonight.
