NBA Betting – Blazers vs. Heat

Free pick and preview plus NBA betting odds and basketball lines for the matchup featuring the Portland Trailblazers and the Miami Heat…

Blazers Look to Keep Strive Alive Against Heat

The Portland Trailblazers (4-3 SU, 3-4 ATS, 5-2 O/U) have won three straight sports betting games in the BetUS Sportsbook while the Miami Heat (4-3 SU, 3-3-1 ATS, 2-5 O/U) are coming off a close win at home their last time out.

The Blazers are coming off a convincing 106-99 road win over the Orlando Magic on Monday with shooting guard Brandon Roy leading the way with 27 points on 10-for-22 shooting from the field while veterans, Steve Blake and Travis Outlaw added 20 apiece.

Portland routed the Magic in the fourth quarter, outscoring them 34-26 in the final period.

“This has been part of the reason we’ve lost our first couple games, not being able to finish games off,” Portland coach Nate McMillan said. “Not only did I talk about, but they talked about winning the third and fourth quarter and getting stronger down the stretch.”

Outlaw, who played 41 minutes off the bench, made 3 of 5 3-pointers to help Portland’s reserves outscore Orlando’s 40-12.

“He’s the guy down the stretch that we’ve been going to over the years and tonight when the offense stalled he was able to get us a couple of buckets,” McMillan said. “We got our confidence back.”

The Blazers will take on a Heat team that is coming off a 99-94 home win over the New Jersey Nets on Monday.

Miami has dominated in winning their first three home games by an average of 18.0 points per game while holding those opponents to just 84.7 points and 40.6 percent shooting from the field.

Dwayne Wade scored 19 of his 33 points in the fourth quarter and rookie Michael Beasley added 19 points on 8-for-18 shooting from the field.

“Did you see the fourth? I mean, wow,” Beasley said. “(Wade’s) such a great player and he showed again tonight, even when he’s sluggish for the first two, three quarters, he’s going to finish with a bang.”

NBA Odds

Portland Trailblazers +1½ -110
Miami Heat -1½ -110

Over 189 -110
Under 189 -110

Analysis: The Heat are going to be their collective ‘A’ game, but I like the young Blazers to rise to the challenge. There won’t be another fourth quarter explosion by Wade or the heat tonight that Portland won’t meet.

Take the Blazers to win outright and cover the spread.
