NBA Betting – New Look Same Results as Clippers Host Injury-Ravaged Spurs

The San Antonio Spurs (4-5 SU, 3-6 ATS, 3-6 O/U) have won consecutive games for members of the BetUS NBA sports betting community the first time this season. The Los Angeles Clippers (1-8 SU, 1-8 ATS, 5-4 O/U) have dropped two straight in the BetUS Sportsbook.

Tonight, the Clippers will look to snap their recent skid against the Spurs tonight when the Western Conference rivals battle at the Staples Center.

Playing without all-star guards, Tony parker and Manu Ginobili, the banged-up Spurs beat the Sacramento Kings 90-88 on Sunday to record their second straight win while cover the spread as 2-point road underdogs.

“We did a real good defensive job in the fourth quarter, and for us that’s necessary,” Spurs coach Gregg Popovich said. “We’re not exactly a juggernaut on offense. We gave up 88 points, that’s about as much as we can allow and still win.”

Michael Finley led the Spurs with 21 points, while Tim Duncan added 20 and 10 rebounds and backup shooting guard Roger Mason chipped in 18 points.

“With guys like Manu and Tony out, we have to make fewer mistakes,” Duncan said.

The Clippers are struggling as mightily as ever, losing eight of nine overall, including a dismal 121-103 loss to the Golden State Warriors on Saturday in which they failed to cover the spread as 3.5-point home favorites.

The Clippers got 25 points from point guard Baron Davis on 7-for-19 shooting from the field and shot under 40 percent from the field for the fifth time this season

“We have a good team. We’re just not as good as we need to be right now,” center Chris Kaman said. “You want to start pointing fingers, but there is no one to point fingers at but yourself. Everybody needs to dig down and work harder. With this team, it’s far from over.”

NBA Odds

San Antonio Spurs +2 -110
Los Angeles Clippers -2 -110

Over 177 -110
Under 177 -110

Analysis: The Clippers already have the look of a team that has quit even at this early juncture of the season. Say anything you want about the offensively-challenged and injury-ravaged Spurs, but quitters they most certainly are not!

I like San Antonio, plus the points to cover the spread, likely with an outright win over their hapless counterparts.
