This series could produce death rattles emanating from Tim Duncan.
The Spurs gave the Big Fundamental lots of rest for his weary bones late in the season, but he’ll have to log heavy minutes if the Spurs hope to drive things to a 6th or 7th game. Problem is, starting with Games 2-3, there is only one day of rest between each game.
Keep an eye on how the Spurs offense performs with Tony Parker back at the point and the ball and not in the hands of Manu Ginobili as much as it was late in the regular season.
Also, San Antonio has played Dirk Nowitzki straight up in the past, but he could draw more double-teams in the playoffs, especially in games at Dallas.
