Can anybody stop the Lakers this year? So far, it doesn’t look like it, as they’ve been dominant both straight up and against the spread. The Bulls enter this game on a hot streak, though, so perhaps they’ve got a shot at an upset no Tuesday.

The Bulls (7-4, 6-4-1 ATS) are enjoying a 5-1 run, though they haven’t exactly paid off for NBA betting fans—they’re just 3-2-1 ATS in that span. They won and covered in their last outing, though, topping Dallas 88-83 as a five-point underdog.

Chicago ranks ninth in NBA scoring at 101.5 points per game and, of course, Derrick Rose is the catalyst. Rose will likely be an MVP candidate by season’s end, and his numbers are impressive thus far (25.2 points, 8.5 assists, 3.6 rebounds per game). If he can get a little better from the three-point line (34.2 percent), Rose will be practically unstoppable. Online Sports Betting at Sportsbook

The Bulls might have also have a secret weapon this year in Taj Gibson. Gibson, a second-year power forward, is averaging 12.1 points and 7.3 rebounds per game (second on the team). He’s inconsistent but capable of big things. After a brutal three-game slump, Gibson exploded for 17 points and 18 rebounds against the Mavericks. Largely thanks to him and Joakim Noah, Chicago is one of the best rebounding teams in the NBA.

Of course, Los Angeles (12-2, 9-5 ATS) is the No. 1 rebounding team in the NBA. It’s also the top-scoring team in the league, which has been prominently on display as of late. The Lakers have used their high-flying offense to win by double-digits in four consecutive games, including a 4-0 run against the spread. They blew out Golden State 117-89 on Sunday.

Like Gibson and the Bulls, the Lakers have an unsung hero—Lamar Odom. Odom is a long-time veteran, of course, but he’s been better than he has in years. The forward ranks third in scoring (14.6 points per game) and second in rebounding (10.6 points per game) on Los Angeles.

Chicago is playing solid basketball, but the Lakers are on another level. Some of the things Chicago is best at—like rebounding—Los Angeles is even better. I haven’t even mentioned Kobe Bryant or Pau Gasol yet. Right now, it’s very difficult to bet against the Lakers. So don’t.

Chicago at Los Angeles pick: Lakers -8.5
