Boy the Lakers made it tough last night! For sports betting fans it doesn’t get any closer than that! I truly believed the Lakers were going to cover the 6 ½ points and they did by beating the Dallas Mavericks by 7 at the end but they needed point-guard Derek Fischer to sink two free throws in the final 10 seconds, and the Mavericks to fumble the ball out of bounds going down the court, for the Lakers to secure the win against the BetUS Sportsbook wagering spread.
That’s cutting it awfully close. The Lakers now must travel to New Orleans to take on a Hornets team that hasn’t played a game since Sunday. The Hornets should be rested and ready for the 6 and 0 straight-up and 5 and 1 against the spread Los Angeles Lakers.
How good are the Hornets? They are 4 and 2 on the season and appear improved from last season’s terrific team. The additions of Morris Peterson at guard and James Posey at the forward position has made the Hornets a squad to reckon with this year.
