The Orlando Magic will look to bounce back from Monday night’s loss to New York with a road victory over the Atlanta Hawks this Wednesday night at Philips Arena. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. and the game will be available on NBA League Pass.

Orlando remains locked in fourth-place in the Eastern Conference with a five-game lead over Atlanta as this game will most likely be a preview of a first round matchup in the playoffs. Its five-game winning streak came to an end with a 113-106 loss to the Knicks as a two-point road favorite. They are now 47-27 straight-up overall and 31-41-1 against the spread.

Behind Dwight Howard’s team-high 23.2 points a game, Orlando is ranked 14th in the league in scoring with 99.9 points a game. It has a +5.45 scoring differential against its opponents, which is sixth-best in the league. Jason Richardson is second on the team in scoring with 14.4 points a game, but the Magic could be without assist-leader Jameer Nelson for this game as he is listed as questionable with a sprained his knee.

Atlanta has a four-game lead over sixth-place Philadelphia in the East, but has gone just 5-5 SU in its last 10 games. The Hawks have won their last two including a 99-83 win over Cleveland last Sunday as a 4 ½-point road favorite. They are now 42-32 SU and 34-40-0 ATS.

The Hawks leading scorer, Joe Johnson is also listed as questionable for this game with a thumb injury, so look for Josh Smith and Marvin Williams to provide most of the offense in his absence. Smith is averaging 16.7 points a game and Williams put up 31 points in the win over the Cavaliers with Johnson out of the line-up.

Head-to head, the Hawks have won the last two games both SU and ATS. They beat the Magic 80-74 as a 6 ½-game road underdog and 91-81 as a 2 ½-point home underdog during the month of December. This time around, look for Orlando to come away with the win but stick with Atlanta to cover at home with the points if Johnson plays.

NBA Gambling Trends:
Under is 17-7 in ORL last 24 overall.
