The Oklahoma City will look to make up some ground in the Northwest Division when they take on the Central Division-leading Chicago Bulls tonight at the United Center. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m.

The expectations for Oklahoma City were high coming into this season but after a rocky 5-6 start some questions about this team started to arise. Led by all-star forward Kevin Durant, the Thunder are back on track with wins in seven of their last 10 games and are just a game out of first behind Utah in the Northwest Division. They are currently 14-7 straight-up on the year, but just 9-12 against the spread.

Oklahoma City is coming off a 114-109 win over Golden State last night in a game it was favored by seven points at home. The total went ‘over’ the 216 ½ point line. Durant led all scorers with 28 points and Russell Westbrook added 19 points and 13 assists. This followed up a 111-99 loss to Toronto on Friday night in a game the Thunder were a one-point favorite on the road with Durant out of the lineup. The total went ‘over’ in this game as well with the closing line set at 209 ½.

Durant is the team’s leading scorer, averaging 27.4 points per game, but has only started 17 of the first 21 games after missing some time with a knee injury. Westbrook is averaging 24.1 points and leads the team in assists with 8.7 per game. Oklahoma City as a team is shooting 44.5 percent from the field and averaging 103.6 points per game.

Chicago has been inconsistent at best over the past few weeks with a 5-5 record in its last 10 games. The Bulls are 10-8 SU overall and lead the Central Division by a game over Indiana, but have lost their last four games to teams with a winning record. They are currently 10-7-1 ATS but have failed to cover in their last three games.

They squeaked out a 119-116 OT win over Houston the last time out as a seven-point home favorite and the total went ‘over’ the 202 ½ point line. Derrick Rose scored a game-high 30 points and Joakim Noah added 13 points and 12 rebounds to lead the way. Prior to that, the Bulls lost to Boston 104-92 as a five-point road underdog with the total going ‘over’ the 190 ½ point line and were crushed by Orlando 107-78 as a two-point home favorite with the total staying ‘under’ the 191 ½  point line.

Rose leads Chicago with 25.7 points and 8.1 assists, while Noah leads the team in rebounds with 12.2 per game. The Bulls are averaging 100.7 points per game and have a field goal percentage of 46 percent.

Oklahoma City is 7-3 SU on the road this season and 5-5 ATS. The total has gone ‘over’ in seven of its last 10 games on the road and in six of its last eight games overall.

Chicago is 6-2 SU in eight homes games this season, but just 3-4-1 ATS. The total has stayed ‘under’  in five of the eight games at home and in seven of its last 10 games overall.

Head-to-head, Chicago has won six of the last nine games SU, but lost to the Thunder 106-95 at home earlier this season as a seven-point road underdog. The total went ‘over’ the 192 ½ point line, but has stayed ‘under’ in their three previous meetings.

The Bulls have been a hard team to figure out this season and have had trouble stringing together back-to-back wins over the past few weeks. This is a golden opportunity for Oklahoma City with a healthy Kevin Durant to come into Chicago and sweep the season series with an outright win.
