Chicago Bulls vs Miami Heat Free Pick & Gambling Preview

Chicago Bulls vs Miami Heat

In one of the season’s most anticipated rematches, the Chicago Bulls will head to South Beach to take on the Miami Heat on Sunday afternoon, for the first time since last season’s Eastern Conference final.

The Heat won that series in five hard fought games, and the Bulls will surely be looking for a little retribution.

Date/Time: 3:30 PM ET, Sunday, January 29, 2012
Venue: American Airlines Arena, Miami, Florida
Broadcast: ABC
Spread: -4.5 Miami
Over/Under: 191.5

Not much changed for either team in the offseason, and both clubs are off to unsurprisingly strong starts.

The Bulls enter the game with the best record in the East, ahead by 3 1/2 games in the Central Division and are an impressive 8-3 on the road.

Chicago (17-4) is coming off a 107-100 triumph over the visiting Milwaukee Bucks behind a season-high 34 points from reigning MVP Derrick Rose, and Sunday is the first game in of a nine-game road trip that will last until Feb. 14.[soliloquy id=”82219″]

The Heat will be their toughest opponent though, and may have just gotten just that much tougher after the return of guard Dwyane Wade, who has been missing in action for the past six games with an ankle injury.

He made an impressive return on Friday night, scoring 28 points as the Heat (14-5) beat the New York Knicks–who were without scoring leader Carmelo Anthony–99-89 for their third consecutive victory.

The win pushed Miami a half game over Atlanta in first place in the Southeast.

Despite being ousted from the playoffs by the Heat, Chicago won all three regular-season meetings in 2010-11, and is currently 11-2 against Eastern Conference foes, while the Heat are 10-2.

Free Pick: Bulls 92, Heat 89–
This is a tough one to call, and it could go either way. Home court advantage isn’t even a real factor in helping to predict this one, as the Heat are 8-2 at home and Chicago is an impressive 8-3 on the road. I am going out on a limb and say the Bulls revenge card pushes them to a win in this one.
