NBA Betting – Mavericks Will Get To 13 Straight
The Dallas Mavericks were supposedly a team lacking an identity prior to the NBA trade deadline, but that’s all changed now.
The team that was struggling to get to above .500 in the new calendar is now all of the sudden nowhere near the number.

The Mavericks have won 12 straight game, spurred by the acquisitions of Caron Butler and Brendan Haywood, and even though they have battled some injuries it hasn’t mattered. They have still dominated everyone and everything in their path. A win against the worst team in the NBA should be all but a formality.
What’s Happening With The Nets
The Nets actually had a three-game road winning streak going, believe it or not. The Nets lost in Memphis in their most recent contest and cost the team their modest streak. For a team that’s won only seven games this year, they will cling to anything.
The Nets are clearly not a very good team but they do have good, young talent. Devin Harris and Brook Lopez are the cornerstones while players Courtney Lee and Terrence Williams are steadily improving.
They still lack plenty of depth and another frontline scorer or two, but this isn’t the worst team in NBA history.
What’s Happening With The Mavericks
The Dallas Mavericks are the hottest team in the NBA right now and they simply can’t lose. While a good regular season stretch is impressive, most people want to know if this team has what it takes to knockoff the Los Angeles Lakers.
The addition of Butler has provided a secondary scoring weapon while the addition of Haywood has provided a defensive presence in the middle of their defense. Also, the move has given the Mavericks plenty more depth.
The Mavs aren’t healthy right now but they aren’t having many problems winning.
Outlook & Pick
The Mavs are without Jason Terry, who is out 10-14 days after facial surgery, Erick Dampier (finger), and possibly Brendan Haywood (back tightness) and J.J Barea (ankle) as well.
But even so, the Mavs are still rolling. With Dirk Nowitzki, Butler and Shawn Marion, the Mavs still have plenty of talent. They also have Jason Kidd, who will be facing his former team and looking to make another statement.
The Mavs are too hot to lose to the worst team in the NBA so expect another win as they close in on the top seed in the West.
