I dug deep into the facts, figures and stats for all the games to come up with pair of solid picks that are a ‘must play’ for this week’s ‘NBA Wednesday Parlay’. The following is a brief look at both games based on lines by [dfads params=’groups=63740&limit=1&return_javascript=0′].

Game 1- Dallas Mavericks vs. San Antonio Spurs

Pointspread: San Antonio -6
Total Line: 207

Dallas is coming off an ugly 92-80 loss to New York this past Sunday as a 6.5-point home favorite to fall to 5-5 straight-up in its last 10 games. The Mavericks will stay home to face the Lakers on Tuesday night so the game against the Spurs will be their third in four nights. Another factor for Wednesday could be the health of Shawn Merion’s ankle. He is currently listed as questionable for Tuesday’s game.

The Spurs will also be in action on Tuesday as 5.5-point road favorites against Memphis. They stumbled against the Knicks at home in a 105-101 loss last Friday as 11.5-point favorites, but quickly responded with a 116-92 thrashing of the Clippers the following night as 9.5-point home favorites. Dallas is 2-10 against the spread in its last 12 games against the Spurs and 1-4 ATS in its last five trips to San Antonio making it a great time to ride the Spurs for one more SU win that covers the spread.

Game 2- Phoenix Suns vs. Minnesota Timberwolves

Pointspread: Minnesota -3
Total Line: 210

The Suns have been one of the biggest surprises this season with a 20-12 SU record heading into a Tuesday night road game against Chicago They have covered in seven of their last 10 games and they are a profitable 23-8-1 ATS on the year. Phoenix is ranked eighth in the league in scoring with 103.7 points a game and the team is shooting 46 percent from the field and 37.2 percent from three-point range.

Minnesota is parked right at .500 with a SU record of 17-17 after rolling over Philadelphia 126-95 this past Monday night as a seven-point road favorite. This team can score, with an average of 107.4 points a game, but it cannot defend. The Timberwolves are ranked 26th in the league in points allowed; giving-up an average of 102.6 points a night. Consistency has also been an issue which sets up the perfect opportunity to go against Minnesota on Wednesday night. It is 2-6 ATS in its last eight games against Phoenix and the road team in this matchup is 5-1 ATS in the last six meetings.
