Brooklyn Nets vs. Milwaukee Bucks Preview

On the season the Nets are 23-27 ATS and they have an O/U record of 19-31 and the Bucks are 33-18 ATS and they have an O/U record of 21-30.

This season the Bucks are 12-10 at home and the Nets are 11-14 on the road.

In their last games the Bucks beat the Boston Celtics 96-93 and the Nets lost to the Washington Wizards 114-77.

The Bucks are coming off a win and they are 7-3 in their last 10 games. They have a winning record at home where they are a 4.5-point betting favorites facing a Nets team that is 4-6 in their last 10 games and was embarrassed in their last one.

These teams played a barnburner in the first meeting with the Bucks winning at Brooklyn in triple-overtime.

The Bucks dealt with many injuries this season and they lost rookie #2 pick Jabari Parker, who was the early front runner for Rookie of the Year, to a season ending knee injury. Still, the Bucks have kept winning and they are currently in the 6th spot in the Eastern Conference.

The Nets had their 3-game win streak snapped in the blowout loss to the Wizards where Joe Johnson, Deron Williams and Alan Anderson all struggled combining to score only 12 points on a combined 4/26 shooting performance. Johnson and Williams must play better tonight, especially Johnson, who is Brooklyn’s leading scorer.

2nd year FW Giannis Antetokounmpo has been playing well for the Bucks and in his last 3 games he is averaging 22 ppg and 10.7 rpg on over 67% shooting. He and Brandon Knight are the 2 leading scorers for the Bucks and the players the Nets’ defense must key on.

The main reasons the Bucks are winning is their defense, which ranks 6th in the league in opponents’ points allowed. Their D is key, as they are not a high scoring team ranking 20th in ppg.

It is no wonder that the Nets are struggling this season, as they only rank 26th in ppg and ranking in the middle of the pack, 15th, in opponents’ points allowed.
