The injury list keeps growing in Boston but so does the Celtics win record as they won their 12th consecutive game, putting six players in double figures, in a 102-90 win over the Atlanta Hawks on Thursday.

Ray Allen and Glen Davis lead with 18 points each in the win while Boston added Rajon Rondo to a list of wounded that includes Kendrick Perkins, Shaquille O’Neal, Jermaine O’Neal and Delonte West.
The starting point guard rolled his left ankle on a drive in Wednesday’s win over New York and could be out as long as two weeks.

But the Celts have survived with Nate Robinson in the starting lineup and he is likely to start seeing ton of minutes as each position is just getting thinner and thinner.

Offensively the team looks fine; it’s the defense that seems to be more of a question.

Meanwhile, the Pacers snapped a three-game losing streak with a 108-99 win over struggling Cleveland on Friday. Albeit their losses came by way of some of the best teams in the league — Atlanta, Chicago, and the Lakers –the Pacers lost those games by an average of 16 points.

Forward Danny Granger led the way for the Pacers with a double double, 30 points, and a season-high 12 rebounds while Roy Hibbert and Mike Dunleavy each had 15.

Granger had struggled during Indiana’s three-game losing streak, but he bounced back to make 12 of 22 shots, including four of seven 3-pointers.

The chippy game included five technical fouls and an ejection in the fourth quarter. There were seven total technicals in the game.

Every young team is going to have growing pains and the Pacers are having them while the Celts are one of the league’s oldest teams. Youth versus experience. How will Indiana respond?

The Pacers haven’t beat Boston since November of 2009 and have lost their last two meetings including a 122-103 defeat in March of 2010. The Celtics are better in every single category including points per game 101.5 to 98.3.

Boston is shooting 51.1 percent including nearly 40 percent from three-point range. The Pacers’ Collision will be tasked with shutting down Allen who leads the Celts with 4.8 per game.

NBA Gambling Trends:

Indiana is 0-4-1 ATS in its last 5 games on the road
Indiana is 1-3-2 ATS in its last 6 games
The total has gone OVER in 4 of Boston’s last 5 games at home
The total has gone OVER in 4 of Boston’s last 6 games when playing Indiana

Matt’s Free Prediction: The odds haven’t been posted at the time of this writing, but I am assuming the odd makers will heavily favor Boston in this one. Normally, I would expect the Celtics to take this one by as many as double digits, but with a shorten bench due to injuries and the youthfulness of the Pacers, I expect a close one. If the spread is less than 10, take the Pacers and the points.

Matt is an $%#@ this is what he wrote in his preview page”Boston is shooting 51.1 percent including nearly 40 percent from three-point range. The Pacers’ Robinson will be tasked with shutting down Allen who leads the Celts with 4.8 per game.” Nate Robinson plays for the celtics las time i checked and Brandon Rush is the SG that would be covering Allen for the pacers. How are we suppose to listen to this mans predictions when he doesnt even know the players or the game.

Nice catch, my mistake at the end of the article. It happens when you right more than 25 articles covering all major sports every week. Robinson is listed at the top of the article correctly. So I do know the game.

Also, Rush would not be be the match for sure against Allen, as he also plays the forward position, leaving Collison as the more likely choice.

So change one word – Robinson with Collision and you will have a happy read my friend.
