NBA Betting – Chicago Looks to get Bullish against High-Flying Hawks

The undefeated Atlanta Hawks (5-0 SU, 4-1 ATS, 1-4 O/U) are on fire BetUS NBA sports betting fanatics! Tonight, the Hawks visit the Chicago Bulls (3-4 SU, 4-3 ATS, 3-4 O/U) and talented rookie point guard Derrick Rose looking to keep their perfect record intact.

Atlanta is off to its best start since 1997-98 season and is coming off a close 89-85 win over the Oklahoma City Thunder on Sunday.

“These guys tasted a little success last season when we got in the playoffs against the Celtics, and they know what that feeling is like,” Hawks head coach Mike Woodson said. “And they want to get back.”

The Hawks have used their new commitment to defense to shut down opponents in the BetUS Sportsbook in each of their five contests this season, holding opponents to just 85.8 points per game and 40.4 percent shooting from the field.

The Bulls, who dropped their last contest to the Cleveland Cavaliers on Saturday, losing 106-97 at home, will try to keep the Hawks from picking up their first win in Chicago since 2004.

Chicago will be without former starting point guard Kirk Hinrich who tore a ligament in his right thumb against the Cavaliers and will miss up to three months following surgery to repair the ligament.

The Bulls got 29 points from shooting guard Ben Gordon on 10-for-19 shooting from the field in their loss to Cleveland and 17 points from Rose on 7-for-21 shooting from the field.

“I think we can still lean on each other,” Gordon said. “Especially with Kirk out, we’re going to have to really jell quickly and get to know each other so we can help each other out.”

Atlanta, got a game-high 25 points from shooting guard Joe Johnson in their won over the Thunder, but will also be without one of their key players in athletic forward Josh Smith who will miss two to four weeks with a sprained left ankle he suffered in Atlanta’s 110-92 win over the Toronto Raptors on Saturday.

“We miss him. But on the same token and the same note, we’ve still got to come out here and try to fight and try to win,” Hawks shooting guard Flip Murray said. “We’ve still got to hold it down while he’s out. Other people have got to come in and step it up.”

Here is a look at the key trends for each team, followed by my in-depth analysis and NBA Free Picks.

NBA Odds

Atlanta Hawks +3 -110
Chicago Bulls -3 -110

Over 188 -110
Under 188 -110

Analysis: The young Bulls may show up for this contest and will undoubtedly compete hard, but I think the Hawks will be up to the task in this contest as they have been in every game so far this young season. Take the Hawks to win outright and cover the spread despite playing on the road in this matchup.
