ATS Matchup Insight | CappersPicks Insider Preview

The Warriors (48-30) lead the series 2-1, and despite being upset by Denver 100-99 last night, have won seven of their last 11 games.

Golden State clearly missed big man David Lee, who remained sidelined for his seventh straight game last night, and is questionable for the rest of the regular season.

Lee’s absence allowed Denver to dominate the Warriors on the glass, with a 63-38 rebounding advantage, including a 25-6 differential on the offensive boards.

For the season, Golden State averages 103.6 points on 46.1 percent shooting and allows 98.8 points on 43.6 percent shooting.

The offense is led by guard Stephen Curry, who is shooting a whopping 49.4 percent from the field in his last five games.

Meanwhile, the Lakers (25-53) matched a franchise record for losses in a season, while giving up an NBA season-high points in a 145-130 loss to the Houston Rockets on Tuesday.

The loss was LA’s fifth straight and most embarrassing, as they continue to plummet, but still remain a single game ahead of the lowly Utah Jazz for the worst record in the Western Conference.

The Lakers average 102.9 points on 44.9 percent shooting and allow 109.5 points on 46.8 percent shooting.

However, during its losing streak, Los Angeles has coughed up an average of 120.6 points on 51.4 percent shooting to their opponents.

Without any defense whatsoever, the Lakers have allowed a combined 265 points in their last two games, and multiple injuries to some of the team’s better defensive players hasn’t helped to improve the situation.

To make things even worse, Steve Nash, Pau Gasol and Chris Kaman are all doubtful for Friday’s contest.

Matt’s Prediction: OVER

Both teams center more on the offense and don’t play any real good defense.

The Lakers are banged up pretty good, and the only place that Golden State got beat on Thursday, is an area they should have no area dominating LA.

Nevertheless, forget the spread and bet the over here, as the points pile up in this one.

Warriors 121 v Lakers 115
