NBA Playoff odds: Atlanta Hawks at Milwaukee Bucks, Game 4

Team records:
Atlanta: 53-29 SU, 48-34 ATS
Milwaukee: 46-36 SU, 53-28-1 ATS

The Bucks have shocked everyone on NBA Playoff odds, but nobody is surprised than Atlanta. The Hawks owned a 2-0 series lead but face elimination in Game 6 on Friday night.

Matchup: Hawks vs Bucks

Time: Friday at 7:00 p.m. ET
Venue: Bradley Center
Spread: Hawks -2
Bucks +2
Total: 190

The Hawks are in trouble. They’ve dropped three consecutive games to Milwaukee, including Wednesday’s 91-87 loss in Game 5. Atlanta also dropped all three games against the spread, which snapped a five-game winning streak at the sportsbook.

Heading to Milwaukee is probably a bad thing; Atlanta is 2-8 in its last 10 road games and 2-4 against the spread in its last six.

That includes back-to-back losses in this series against the Bucks.

Atlanta’s star players failed to deliver in Game 5. Leading-scorer Joe Johnson netted just 13 points on 6-16 shooting; power forward Josh Smith grabbed nine rebounds but managed just seven points; and Jamal Crawford, who has been a force off the bench all season, scored 11 points on a horrendous shooting night (4-18 FGs). If it weren’t for the play of Al Horford (25 points, 11 rebounds) and Marvin Williams (22 points), the Hawks would have been crushed.

Either way, they need to shoot the ball better, especially from three-point land—Atlanta was just 2-11 from downtown. Online Sports Betting at Sportsbook

Perhaps they were deer in headlights over the first two games of this series, but the Bucks look anything but scared now. Milwaukee’s three-game winning streak improved the team to 6-4 both straight up and against the spread in its last 10 games.

Hosting an elimination game is great news for Bucks fans—they are 6-2 both straight up and against the spread in their past eight games at the Bradley Center.

Rookie Brandon Jennings has delivered big scoring performances in back-to-back games. He poured in a game-high 25 points on Wednesday.

Only two other Bucks managed to hit double-figures in scoring—John Salmons scored 19 (and is averaging 20.0 in the series) while Luke Ridnour came off the bench with 15 points.

It wasn’t the prettiest offensive performance, but it didn’t have to be against the struggling Hawks.

The Bucks have busted their butts to get there and shown a lot of guts to overcome a 2-0 deficit, especially without one of their best players in Andrew Bogut. Milwaukee looks determined to cap off a surprising season with a big first-round upset. Bet on the Bucks to close it out at home.
