In the comfort of the hometown surroundings in the United Center, Chicago put together a solid effort to avoid falling behind in this series by three games, coming away with an impressive 108-106 win over Cleveland. With the series now at 2-1, the Bulls have a chance to even things up if they can pull off the same feat one more time. They had to work hard for this win as no lead was safe and the game was not decided until the final seconds.

Chicago was able to take advantage of the Cavaliers shooting just 50% from the field and a less than stellar defensive effort to get their first win in this best-of-seven series.

Derrick Rose (31 points and seven assists) and Kirk Hinrich (27 points, five rebounds, and five assists) led the way for the Bulls especially down the stretch when they needed it the most.

Luol Deng added 20 points and Joakim Hoah had 10 points and 15 rebounds in a total team effort.

After watching the first two games, you knew that Cleveland was going to have to have an off night to lose to Chicago and that is exactly what happened. LeBron James had great numbers; scoring 39 points, pulling down 10 rebounds and adding in eight assists, but he was just 14 of 26 from the field and a dreadful 7 of 13 from the foul line. Mo Williams scored 21 points but was just 7 of 16 from the field and Antawn Jamison had 19 points, going 7 of 17. These are the kind of nights they will have to avoid to have any chance of bringing home an NBA title against the better teams they would face down the road.

Give them credit as they were able to erase an 11 point deficit after three quarters, but their come from behind effort to take a commanding three game lead in this series fell short by two points.

The good news for the Cavaliers going into game four is that they now know that with even a slight improvement in their shooting performance and defensive play they should come away with a win.

Chicago has had their moment in the sun, giving the hometown fans a great victory.

Unfortunately it is back to reality in game four as the Cavaliers will not let this happen again.
