NBA playoff odds: Milwaukee Bucks at Atlanta Hawks

Team records:
Atlanta (53-29, 48-34 ATS)
Milwaukee (46-36, 53-28-1 ATS)

The Milwaukee Bucks and Atlanta Hawks will meet for the fourth time this season, this time on NBA playoff odds. The Hawks toppled Milwaukee just last Monday, and the Bucks are short-handed without Andrew Bogut. Can they pull off an upset?

Matchup: Bucks at Hawks

Time: 5:30 p.m. ET
Venue: Phillips Arena
Spread: Atlanta -8.5
Over/Under: 186

Atlanta (53-29, 48-34 ATS) closed out the regular season with a bang, winning four consecutive games. Admittedly, it wasn’t against the strongest competition, but you can’t blame the Hawks for their schedule. Besides, the Hawks have also won three straight against the spread and are a rock-solid 6-4 in their last 10 games on NBA odds. Atlanta is also 6-4 ATS in its past 10 home games.

These teams met on Monday, with the Hawks winning 104-96. Joe Johnson led the way for Atlanta with 31 points and seven rebounds, but the Hawks produced a well-rounded effort—six different players cracked double-digits in scoring. Johnson has killed Milwaukee all season; he averaged 27.3 points and 6.3 rebounds in three meetings this year. Al Horford and Josh Smith also took care of business, as they each averaged double-doubles in three appearances against the Bucks. Online Sports Betting at Sportsbook

The Bucks (46-36, 53-28-1 ATS) have are 5-2 in their past seven games, although both losses came in the past three games—one of them to Atlanta. Despite the slump, you can’t argue with sportsbook results, and Milwaukee has been excellent in that regarding, going 8-2 against the spread in its last 10 games. The Bucks have been even better on the road, covering nine of their past 10 games away from home.

Milwaukee has soldiered on despite the loss of Andrew Bogut. Bogut—who is second on the team in scoring and first in rebounding—was lost to an elbow injury a few weeks ago, but the Bucks are 4-2 since then. John Salmons scored 28 points in a losing effort against Atlanta earlier this week, which continued a trend. Salmons, when wearing a Bucks uniform, averaged 30.7 points per game in three starts against the Hawks (he also met them when still with Chicago).

Bucks vs. Hawks Free NBA Playoff Pick

Atlanta won two of its three match ups against Milwaukee this year. Although the Bucks have played admirably without Bogut, that can’t last forever—it’s hard to simply replace a consistent double-double threat in your line up. Still, Milwaukee has a few inspiring games left in it. The team won’t lay down and will at least keep this game tight enough to cover. Bet on the Bucks.
