Toronto

The Raptors are in a bad spot. Not only are they down 0-2 but they haven’t looked good at all losing at home in two very different ways. As the season wound down there was talk about this being the matchup they wanted but I think they might be second guessing that now.

This team has had bad offense and bad defense over the first two games of the series and needs to really tighten things up just for some respect or they might be coach shopping in the offseason. No team has looked worse in the playoffs so far.

Looking for a jump the Raps started Tyler Hansbrough last game and he delivered nothing, literally – no points, assists or rebounds in 12 total minutes.

Unfortunately starting PG Kyle Lowry didn’t deliver much more. This team is grasping at straws and exudes little confidence except from their productive reserve backcourt of Greivis Vazquez and Lou Williams. The Raptors depth has been an asset all season but sometimes you need the starters to say I got this with their play.

Washington

After a couple of games the Wizards could not be more pleased. They have once again proved that they can win in the road in the  playoffs and that the addition of Paul Pierce gives them that little extra edge. They return home with much more than a 2-0 edge in the series they have the Raptors scrambling for answers. This team is probably not a threat to make a run to the Finals but they definitely look like they are heading to the second round again. I think they can probably play even better too.

He didn’t lead the team in scoring in G2 but John Wall had a monster game. He had 26 points and 17 assists and the Raptors are lacking in a guard who can really stop him. This series is looking like a coming out party for Otto Porter.

He missed only a couple of shots from the field last game and with his length is proving to be a valuable asset on offense and defense. He is a smart player unphased by the bigness of the moment.

NBA Betting Prediction:  Over 195.5

It seems logical that the Raptors will get a win in the series at some but I don’t want to predict that just yet.

NBA Score Prediction:  Washington 102 – Toronto 100

I like the over. There was much more flow in the last game and I think that will continue.
