It was of course LeBron James who stole the show in Game 1 of this series, racking up 27 points and nine rebounds, knocking down half of his shots from the field, and half of his shots from beyond the arc.

The team also got a real lift from James Jones, who scored 12 points off the bench and really keyed some scoring runs by the Heat. He scored four points on a 12-2 run in the second quarter, then hit a big three-pointer early in the fourth quarter to kick start an 18-4 run that sealed the game.

As for the Bobcats, they’ll need some better performances from their stars if they are going to compete in this series.
Kemba Walker knocked down 6-of-15 shots from the field for 20 points, adding six assists, five rebounds, and two steals, while Al Jefferson chipped in 18 points and 10 rebounds, filling out his stat line with a pair of blocks, an assist, and a steal.
Jefferson’s status for Game 2 was never in doubt, despite his suffering a strained plantar fascia in the first quarter, and receiving a pair of injections to continue the game. He was also seen leaving the arena in a walking boot following Game 1.
The Heat simply have the Bobcats’ number, and they’ll be looking to put an exclamation mark on this series before taking to the road. The Big three have dominated the Bobcats to a tune of a 16-0 record since their arrival in South Beach, and Wednesday’s meeting should be no different with so much on the line.
