The Raptors are in a certifiable funk. Breaking out of it against the defending champs is not going to be easy.

Toronto

The Raptors are going through their worst stretch of the season right now.

Even with the return to the lineup of Kyle Lowry they have been losing games and with them, all the good will that was surrounding this team earlier in the season. They are looking to snap a three game losing streak and it is not going to be easy on the road. Never fear Raptors fans the schedule is going to lighten up pretty quick. The majority of their final 20 games are against teams with losing records.

Even though they have been struggling it has been encouraging to see DeMar Derozan playing better. He has scored 24 or more points in each of this last 4 games and they need him to retake the mantle of top scorer for this team to get back to where it needs too. Ever since his injury they have struggled to find the right combinations.

Just before the All-Star break Toronto beat San Antonio on their own court by 5.

San Antonio

The Spurs struggled out of the break losing four in a row but now they are on a five game winning streak. It is still a bit of a mystery as to why they have lost so many games this season but they are a difficult team to bet against. In the crowded West they hold the seventh spot in the playoff table and you can bet teams like Memphis and Houston want no part of them. San Antonio has been resting guys for the stretch but now it looks like they are pushing guys with Tony Parker and Kawhi Leonard both playing more than 30 minutes in their last game.

The Spurs just beat the Bulls by 11 points with Tim Duncan scoring just three of them. That kind of output has been more common than you think these days but I think he could have a big game because the Raptors are not great at that power forward spot. Tony Parker is coming off a season high 32 points against the Bulls.

The Raptors have plenty of guards to make it difficult for him.

NBA Betting Prediction:  Toronto +7.5

The Spurs are a pretty good matchup for Toronto. The Raps beat them once and they can do it again.

NBA Score Prediction:  Toronto 97 – San Antonio 92

That 7.5 points is a huge value not to be missed.
