I liked the move to bring in George Karl as coach but the results have been pretty much the same save a surprising win over Memphis.

The biggest problem is that this team is a sieve on defense and even though there are some good offensive players there is not enough consistency at enough positions. This season is lost but it will be interesting to see how Karl is able to change the King’s fortunes. They are just a couple of smart personnel moves from being really competitive.
For this one leading scorer and rebounder Demarcus Cousins will be out with a leg injury. With Darren Collison out for the rest of the season that is a lot of production watching from the sidelines. With Collison out it has created a huge opportunity for Ray McCallum at the point.

That is is Karl is willing to let him develop rather than rely upon the aging Andre Miller, AKA, his security blanket.
New York
The Knicks have won their last two and will look to tie a season high three game winning streak against short handed Sacramento. I really do not think the Knicks are turning a corner but you have to like their chances given the opponent. New York is getting some unexpected production from unlikely sources but this team is so bizarre at the moment that who knows what to expect. The talent level without Carmelo Anthony is just so thin. They are not fully healthy either with Jose Calderon in and out of the lineup.
In their recent win over Toronto I discovered Alexey Shved. He is a heady player in that classic European style but I doubt he is a star in the making. The Knicks are finally getting some production from Andrea Bargnani. He is a bit of a lightning rod but he can also be a very effective offensive player.

He is probably the top scoring option right now with Tim Hardaway Jr. right behind him.
