Portland
The Trail Blazers got an expected easy win against Minnesota last night.

They have been in good form of late going 7-3 as they acclimate to not having the services of shooting guard Wesley Matthews. The Blazers are kind of a tough team to peg.
When you look at their numbers you see a team with a very good record and that is in the top 10 in scoring and defense. Yet few think they are any sort of threat to the better teams in the West, like Golden State.
With no Matthews the key for Portland is finding other to step up beyond Damian Lillard and Lamarcus Aldridge.
Arron Aflalo is capable of a hot scoring game but the Blazers are also looking from more from the likes of C.J. McCollum and second year player Allen Crabbe.
Crabbe could especially be valuable because he has the size you want at that position.

He just has to become more consistent with his shooting.
Golden State
Golden State is locked into the top spot in the West so all they are playing for down the stretch is trying to get things just right to follow up their tremendous season with a strong playoff performance.
To do that they would be wise to put a stop to their two game losing streak.
No there is nothing that needs to be addressed in a specific way but we are used to seeing this team not only play great but bounce back after a loss better than they did on Tuesday night against New Orleans.
Speaking of bounce back they need a rebound by Klay Thompson who was off the mark to say the least against the Pelicans.
They lost the game by only three points while he shot a woeful 2 for 10 from the field.

Running mate Steph Curry was sharp but this result emphasizes that they need them both if they are going to make a deep run. I am not worried and I doubt Steve Kerr is either.
